The Objective
To fulfill a lifelong dream of building the ultimate
high-performance car.
The Solution
The kit car project has been an ongoing endeavor stretching over many years with resources devoted to the project as time and money allow. The project started with the purchase of a fiberglass kit car body shell. The body was modeled after the Lamborghini Diablo (an Italian made sports car). Not satisfied with the host car chassis (a Pontiac Fiero), the decision was made to build a space frame chassis, utilizing a custom engineered Formula One type front axle assembly and rear engine cradle and suspension assembly system. For the drive train, an LS-1 engine coupled to a 930 Porsche transaxle was used. This combination, with a mid-engine configuration, an extremely low center of gravity, a wide wheel base stance, and the Formula One suspension, will give the results of race car handling performance on a street legal platform.
